🚴‍♂️ Bum Butter

Perfect for: runners, cyclists and adventurers.

Why: One size fits all. A universal gift.

Come on, you can not be surprised that this is the top of my list.

However, this is for a very good reason. It really does not matter what type of bike they ride, what size clothing they wear, runner or cyclists… Bum Butter is a universal fit. Yes, Bum Butter is guaranteed to fit 100% of bums.

A staple for comfort-seeking athletes, Bum Butter is a natural, long-lasting anti-friction cream that keeps skin happy on even the toughest days out. It’s the kind of gift they’ll genuinely appreciate—and probably won’t buy for themselves. Practical, thoughtful, and very very effective.

🏃‍♀️ Start Where You Are — Running Book

Perfect for: new runners, returning runners, or anyone who needs motivation.

Why: Instant motivation to get yourself out there.

This uplifting running book is all about building confidence and momentum, one step at a time. It’s gentle, encouraging, and deeply relatable—ideal for someone who wants to begin (or rekindle) a running habit without pressure. Pair it with a new pair of socks for bonus gift points.

Sabrina is a fan of Bum Butter and has successfully cured her sports bra rash with it. Bum Butter is also a big Sabrina fan.

I have my copy on pre-order, and that is a wee snag, delivery is in January. However, if you look into this there is a theory that Father Xmas was not born on Christmas day but in January. What's more, there are extreme conspiracy theorists have gone as far as to believe he does not even exist!

🧳 FoldNRoll Travel Organiser

Perfect for: travelers, commuters, runners/cyclists who shower on the go

Why: So incredibly practical.

What I really love about the Fold N Roll is that you can ditch the car and seize an opportunity for a run or ride. You can run or cycle to a meeting, work, or lunch date etc and whip this out of your bag, unroll a smart shirt and as if by magic you can look fresh and presentable. Brilliant.

This clever folding organiser keeps kit tidy, compressed, and ready to grab. Great for gym bags, panniers, or packing for a race weekend. It brings order to the chaos of training gear—and adds a touch of minimalist magic to their routine.

🚲 Great British Gravel Rides Book.

Perfect for: bikepackers, touring cyclists, and map-nerds.

Why: A hit list of awesome day adventures.

Markus Stitz is known for epic, inspiring routes, and his latest book continues that tradition. Packed with photography, stories, and beautifully mapped adventures, it’s a gift that sparks wanderlust. Expect your cyclist to start planning their next big escape before the wrapping paper hits the floor. Plus you will find me in there showing Markus around the Dorset route.

📬 Singletrack World Magazine Subscription

Perfect for: mountain bikers, MTB culture lovers, and cycle adventurers.

Why: Because bad decisions make great stories.

A subscription to Singletrack World is a gift that lasts all year. With stories, gear reviews, trail inspiration, and a sense of community, it’s ideal for mountain bikers wanting to stay connected with the wider world of dirt and adventure. Plus—no wrapping required.

Plus, you are supporting the great tradition of printed magazines.

🚴‍♂️Dorset Gravel Dash Cycling Event

Perfect for: mountain bikers, gravel bikers and cycle adventurers.

Why: Because 100 miles is a lot of fun.

The Dorset Gravel Dash is the UK's first gravel event, and first 100 mile bikepacking event. I started it many years ago as I was really enjoying this style of cycling, which at the time was almost unheard of. It's now super popular.

Why not get yourself and a buddy an entry, and then you will have  an awesome adventure to look forward to.

You have three great adventure options:

Dorset Gravel Dash 50:50

The two day bikepacking adventure weekend.

Starting and finishing at a pub near the seaside, your two day adventure will take you on a beautiful 100 mile route around Dorset.

Half way round you will roll into the Gravel Dash camp complete with fresh hot food, and Jules the friendly farmer with his bar in a horsebox.

Dorset Gravel Dash 100 Mile…

This is the original gravel challenge. 100 miles in one go.

You can expect every variation of terrain Dorset has, from fast rolling back roads, dusty heathlands, woodland singletrack, and of course, lots of gravel.

Your epic day out concludes with a hearty cheer as you roll into the garden of a charming coastal pub.

NEW for 2026. 1 Day Dorset Gravel Dash 100 KM

A shorter 100km (65 mile) one day challenge.

The best of Dorset in a bite sized 100km format, rather than the original 100 mile (155km).

Enjoy your day out, stop and take in the view, have a nice pub lunch or picnic. Yes, its easier than the 100 mile route, but it is still a big day out and a true challenge

🚴‍♂️Repack: History Of Moutainbiking Book

Perfect for: Dusty old dudes.

Why: Because we would not have mountain bikes if it was not for Charlie Kelly

This book is a whopper with 200+ pages, large format and tons of great pictures from the birth of mountain biking. Charlie Kelly, who just happens to be a rad old dude and a friend of Bum Butter saved everything from the 70s and 80s. He still has a garage full of pictures and brochures. But also (and slightly surprisingly) he can actually remember what happened back in the glory days.

All the best, and have a great Christmas.

Charlie (aka Mister Bum Butter)
