Live Delivery Status:
Delivery as normal. It's cooled down.
Order Now - No Delays
When we pause shipping effected parcels will be upgraded to 1 day delivery to close the delivery gap.
So, if you have chosen the 3-5 day delivery option. We will hold your delivery for 3 days at the most, then ship it on a next day service. So you are still on the 3-5 days. I am probably over-explaining this.
Nobody likes waiting for their Bum Butter.
Trust us—we'd much rather be shipping orders than staring nervously at weather forecasts. But when temperatures start climbing into heatwave territory, we occasionally hit the pause button on deliveries.
Why? Because we'd rather you receive Bum Butter than Bum Butter-flavoured soup.
Heatwaves and Happy Creams Don't Mix
Bum Butter is designed to be smooth, spreadable, and comfortable on your skin. That's part of what makes it so effective at tackling chafing.
The downside? Extreme heat can cause the cream to soften, melt, or separate during transit.
Delivery vans, sorting depots, and postal warehouses aren't always climate-controlled. Our warehousing is climate controlled, but the parcel network is not. During a heatwave, parcels can spend hours sitting in temperatures far higher than the weather forecast suggests.
A 30°C day outside can easily mean temperatures well above that inside a delivery vehicle.
That's not the sort of spa treatment we want for your Bum Butter.
We'd Rather Hold It Than Damage It
When a significant heatwave is forecast, we may temporarily pause dispatches until temperatures return to a safer range.
It's not because we're being difficult.
It's because we want your order to arrive in the same condition it left our workshop—smooth, consistent, and ready to protect your precious bits from chafing.
Sure, we could ship it anyway.
But then we'd be answering emails that begin with:
"Hi, I think my Bum Butter has turned into a milkshake..."
Nobody wins.
Quality Comes First
Every tub of Bum Butter is made to meet our quality standards. Sending products out when we know there's a high risk they'll spend days slowly melting in a delivery network isn't fair on our customers.
By waiting a day or two for temperatures to drop, we can help ensure your order arrives looking and performing exactly as intended.
Thanks for Bearing With Us
We know waiting isn't ideal, especially if you've got a race, hike, cycle ride, or holiday coming up.
But a short delay is usually far better than opening your parcel to discover that your anti-chafing cream has undergone an unexpected transformation into a warm, oily puddle.
So if you see a notice that deliveries have been paused due to extreme temperatures, it's not us being overprotective.
It's us looking after your Bum Butter so it can look after your bum.
And frankly, that's a responsibility we take very seriously.
Have you got melted Bum Butter?
Then read this blog post here where we explain how to reset it, or have it replaced.
